July 8 | Launch Party at Thank You Books!

Birmingham, AL | 6:30-8:30pm

I am so thrilled to be returning to my hometown where we will launch Soulgazer with a party at Thank You Books! This is the same indie bookstore running my signed preorder campaign, and I could not be more grateful.

Starting at 6:30pm on July 8th, 2025, we will meet in store for a conversation and celebration followed by a book signing! I’ll have goodies to give out including stickers and bookmarks, and cannot wait to see you there.

It’s a free event, but please RSVP here to make sure you get a spot!

And if you’d like to be guaranteed a copy of the book, I’d suggest preordering here. Thank you!

Return to the Wild Writing Retreat

October 20-26, 2025

In case you missed it, I’ve been invited by Marina Green to join the faculty of her Return to the Wild writing retreat next October at Brownber Hall in Cumbria, England!

Nestled in the heart of the Lake District (yes, that one from Pride & Prejudice), this retreat offers a generous nod to Cumbrian folklore in an idyllic setting to reconnect with nature, storytelling, and your creative spirit. We’ll take long walks, hold critique circles, and discuss craft both in official conversations and all through the day.

I am beyond delighted to join both Emily Varga and Marina Green for the week, not only because they are kind, funny, creative humans, but also because the retreat I joined in Scotland, 2022 was a pivotal moment in both my career and relationship to creativity. My greatest hope is that I might pass along some of that same wisdom, inspiration, and hope that was poured into me two years ago.

Early sign up begins December 7th, and you can find all details of the retreat including accomodations, food, faculty, and a sample schedule here!
