The White Thread is a work of art, hitting upon the heart of the series, parts of the prophecy, answering former riddles and creating ten more questions in their wake. It's a puzzle within a puzzle, more light-hearted while also having two of the darkest scenes in the series to date and briefly introducing a new and terrifying villain. The relationships between characters deepen and, best of all, a romance you didn't even know you needed plants itself in both the characters' and audience's hearts until you're left ready to perish at the end for anticipation of The Enchanted. Alitheia is no longer a trip, it is a reality. Are you ready to dive in?Read More
When I first saw the cover art on this novel, I fell in love. It reminded me of this old, Egyptian Cinderella story I read as a child and upon picking up the book, I was caught by the description. The art, itself, was brilliant in that it looks like a painting the likes of which our main character, Isobel, may have herself created. The idea of a truly dangerous, perhaps unlikeable male hero (Rook) also held a certain appeal, as well as the idea of "craft" and this writer's take on the fair folk being disturbing, woodsy, thoroughly inhuman creatures. Thankfully, I was not at all disappointed.Read More
Caraval was full of surprise, hints of magic, romance, dark mystery, and anything else one could possibly long for in a story. With unique characters, a deeply complex and twisting plot, excellent pacing, and beautiful setting, her world is impossible to forget. Curious? Read more to find out.Read More
Review of S. Jae-Jones young adult romantic fantasy, Wintersong. This was not my favorite. There was lots of meh with a brief scattering of brilliance; but read the full review to see the extent of my thoughts.

"When you read Gemma Doyle's story, you are reading by the light of a candle, surrounded by dark wood and rich tapestry, while wrapped gently in a lace-edged dressing gown. Your heart will soar and stutter, your hands will shake. You will have to muffle the sounds of your delight and horror in turn, and you will never forget these books." 10/10 MagpiesRead More
